Matter Cluster 1028 — Flow Measurement
Matter Cluster 1028 (0x0404) Flow Measurement: attributes, commands, events, data types, shadow paths and bridge payload examples.
Matter Cluster 1028 — Flow Measurement Cluster
Matter Cluster 1028, also written as 0x0404, is the Flow Measurement Cluster.
This cluster provides an interface to flow measurement functionality, including configuration and provision of notifications of flow measurements.
Cluster Identity
| Field | Value |

Shadow Path Format
Cluster 1028 values in the device shadow use this format:
endpoint_id / 1028 / attribute_id
Example:
{
"1/1028/0": 1
}
| Part | Meaning |
|---|---|
1 | Endpoint ID |
1028 | Flow Measurement cluster |
0 | MeasuredValue attribute |
Cluster 1028 Attributes
Cluster 1028 defines 4 attributes plus the global attributes. Conformance: M mandatory, O optional, a feature code means "mandatory when that feature is present", square brackets mean "optional when …".
| ID | Hex | Attribute | Type | Conformance | Access | Qualities | Default |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | 0x0000 | MeasuredValue | uint16 | M | R (read: view) | nullable | — |
| 1 | 0x0001 | MinMeasuredValue | uint16 | M | R (read: view) | nullable | — |
| 2 | 0x0002 | MaxMeasuredValue | uint16 | M | R (read: view) | nullable | — |
| 3 | 0x0003 | Tolerance | uint16 | O | R (read: view) | — | 0 |

| 65531 | 0xFFFB | AttributeList | Attribute IDs implemented. |
| 65532 | 0xFFFC | FeatureMap | Implemented optional features (see above). |
| 65533 | 0xFFFD | ClusterRevision | Cluster revision implemented; 5 for a Matter 1.6.1 device. |
Attribute Details
Attribute 0 / 0x0000 — MeasuredValue
Path example:
1/1028/0
Indicates the flow in m^3/h as follows: MeasuredValue = 10 x Flow The null value indicates that the flow measurement is unknown, otherwise the range is as described in Measured Value.
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Type | uint16 |
| Conformance | M |
| Access | R (read: view) |
| Qualities | nullable |
| Constraint | MinMeasuredValue to MaxMeasuredValue |
Example:
{
"1/1028/0": 1
}
Attribute 1 / 0x0001 — MinMeasuredValue
Path example:
1/1028/1
Indicates the minimum value of MeasuredValue that can be measured. See Measured Value for more details. The null value indicates that the value is not available.
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Type | uint16 |
| Conformance | M |
| Access | R (read: view) |

"1/1028/1": 1
}
Attribute 2 / 0x0002 — MaxMeasuredValue
Path example:
1/1028/2
Indicates the maximum value of MeasuredValue that can be measured. See Measured Value for more details. The null value indicates that the value is not available.

Cluster 1028 Commands
Cluster 1028 defines no commands. It is read (and, for writable attributes, written) through attribute access only.
Cluster 1028 Events
Cluster 1028 defines no events.
SmartphoneKey Notes
- Cluster 1028 is not currently exposed by SmartphoneKey devices. This page documents the Matter 1.6.1 specification so that future devices can be interpreted without changes to the backend.
- Shadow paths follow
endpoint/1028/attribute; attribute values that the device reports as unreadable are written asn/a. - Attribute IDs, command IDs and enum values on this page come from the CSA Matter 1.6.1 data model; descriptions are condensed from the specification text.
