Matter Cluster 156 — Power Topology
Matter Cluster 156 (0x009C) Power Topology: attributes, commands, events, data types, shadow paths and bridge payload examples.
Matter Cluster 156 — Power Topology Cluster
Matter Cluster 156, also written as 0x009C, is the Power Topology Cluster.
The Power Topology Cluster provides a mechanism for expressing how power is flowing between endpoints.
Cluster Identity
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Cluster ID decimal | 156 |
| Cluster ID hex | 0x009C |
| Cluster name | Power Topology |
| Cluster revision (Matter 1.6.1) | 1 |
| Role | application |
| Scope | Endpoint |
| PICS code | PWRTL |
| Typical endpoint | 1 |
Revision history
| Revision | Change |
|---|---|
| 1 | Initial revision |
Shadow Path Format
Cluster 156 values in the device shadow use this format:
endpoint_id / 156 / attribute_id
Example:
{
"1/156/0": []
}
| Part | Meaning |
|---|---|
1 | Endpoint ID |
156 | Power Topology cluster |
0 | AvailableEndpoints attribute |
Cluster 156 Features
The FeatureMap attribute (1/156/65532) is a bitmap. Each bit set means the device implements that feature and the attributes and commands that depend on it.
| Bit | Code | Feature | Conformance | Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | NODE | NodeTopology | O | This endpoint provides or consumes power to/from the entire node |
| 1 | TREE | TreeTopology | O | This endpoint provides or consumes power to/from itself and its child endpoints |
| 2 | SET | SetTopology | O | This endpoint provides or consumes power to/from a specified set of endpoints |
| 3 | DYPF | DynamicPowerFlow | [SET] | The specified set of endpoints may change |
Example: FeatureMap = 0 means no optional feature is enabled; 15 means every feature listed above is enabled.
Cluster 156 Attributes
Cluster 156 defines 2 attributes plus the global attributes. Conformance: M mandatory, O optional, a feature code means "mandatory when that feature is present", square brackets mean "optional when …".
| ID | Hex | Attribute | Type | Conformance | Access | Qualities | Default |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | 0x0000 | AvailableEndpoints | list of endpoint-no | SET | R (read: view) | — | — |
| 1 | 0x0001 | ActiveEndpoints | list of endpoint-no | DYPF | R (read: view) | persisted | — |
Global attributes
| ID | Hex | Attribute | Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| 65528 | 0xFFF8 | GeneratedCommandList | Response command IDs this server generates. |
| 65529 | 0xFFF9 | AcceptedCommandList | Command IDs this server accepts. |
| 65531 | 0xFFFB | AttributeList | Attribute IDs implemented. |
| 65532 | 0xFFFC | FeatureMap | Implemented optional features (see above). |
| 65533 | 0xFFFD | ClusterRevision | Cluster revision implemented; 1 for a Matter 1.6.1 device. |
Attribute Details
Attribute 0 / 0x0000 — AvailableEndpoints
Path example:
1/156/0
Indicates the list of endpoints capable of providing power to and/or consuming power from the endpoint hosting this server.
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Type | list of endpoint-no |
| Conformance | SET |
| Access | R (read: view) |
| Constraint | max 20 entries |
Example:
{
"1/156/0": []
}
Attribute 1 / 0x0001 — ActiveEndpoints
Path example:
1/156/1
Indicates the current list of endpoints currently providing or consuming power to or from the endpoint hosting this server. This list is a subset of the value of the AvailableEndpoints attribute.
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Type | list of endpoint-no |
| Conformance | DYPF |
| Access | R (read: view) |
| Qualities | persisted |
| Constraint | max 20 entries |
Example:
{
"1/156/1": []
}
Cluster 156 Commands
Cluster 156 defines no commands. It is read (and, for writable attributes, written) through attribute access only.
Cluster 156 Events
Cluster 156 defines no events.
SmartphoneKey Notes
- Cluster 156 is not currently exposed by SmartphoneKey devices. This page documents the Matter 1.6.1 specification so that future devices can be interpreted without changes to the backend.
- Shadow paths follow
endpoint/156/attribute; attribute values that the device reports as unreadable are written asn/a. - Attribute IDs, command IDs and enum values on this page come from the CSA Matter 1.6.1 data model; descriptions are condensed from the specification text.
