Matter Cluster 64 — Fixed Label
Matter Cluster 64 (0x0040) Fixed Label: attributes, commands, events, data types, shadow paths and bridge payload examples.
Matter Cluster 64 — Fixed Label Cluster
Matter Cluster 64, also written as 0x0040, is the Fixed Label Cluster.
This cluster is derived from the Label cluster and provides a feature for the device to tag an endpoint with zero or more read-only labels. Examples: - A bridge can use this to indicate grouping of bridged devices. For example: All bridged devices whose endpoints have an entry in their LabelList "room":"bedroom 2" are in the same (bed)room. - A manufacturer can use this to identify a characteristic of an endpoint.
This cluster is derived from the Label cluster: it inherits the base attributes, commands and data types listed below and adds the cluster-specific values. Where the base definition applies, the base text is used.
Cluster Identity
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Cluster ID decimal | 64 |
| Cluster ID hex | 0x0040 |
| Cluster name | Fixed Label |
| Cluster revision (Matter 1.6.1) | 1 |
| Role | utility |
| Scope | Endpoint |
| PICS code | FLABEL |
| Typical endpoint | 1 |
Revision history
| Revision | Change |
|---|---|
| 1 | Initial revision |
Shadow Path Format
Cluster 64 values in the device shadow use this format:
endpoint_id / 64 / attribute_id
Example:
{
"1/64/0": []
}
| Part | Meaning |
|---|---|
1 | Endpoint ID |
64 | Fixed Label cluster |
0 | LabelList attribute |
Data Types
LabelStruct (struct)
This is a string tuple with strings that are user defined.
| Field | Name | Type | Conformance | Constraint | Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | Label | string | M | max length 16 | The Label or Value semantic is not defined here. |
| 1 | Value | string | M | max length 16 | The Label or Value semantic is not defined here. |
Cluster 64 Attributes
Cluster 64 defines 1 attribute plus the global attributes. Conformance: M mandatory, O optional, a feature code means "mandatory when that feature is present", square brackets mean "optional when …".
| ID | Hex | Attribute | Type | Conformance | Access | Qualities | Default |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | 0x0000 | LabelList | list of LabelStruct | M | R (read: view) | persisted | empty |
Global attributes
| ID | Hex | Attribute | Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| 65528 | 0xFFF8 | GeneratedCommandList | Response command IDs this server generates. |
| 65529 | 0xFFF9 | AcceptedCommandList | Command IDs this server accepts. |
| 65531 | 0xFFFB | AttributeList | Attribute IDs implemented. |
| 65532 | 0xFFFC | FeatureMap | Implemented optional features (see above). |
| 65533 | 0xFFFD | ClusterRevision | Cluster revision implemented; 1 for a Matter 1.6.1 device. |
Attribute Details
Attribute 0 / 0x0000 — LabelList
Path example:
1/64/0
No condensed specification text is available for LabelList; use the type, conformance and constraint below together with the cluster description above.
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Type | list of LabelStruct |
| Conformance | M |
| Access | R (read: view) |
| Qualities | persisted |
| Default | empty |
Each entry is a LabelStruct (see Data Types).
Example:
{
"1/64/0": []
}
Cluster 64 Commands
Cluster 64 defines no commands. It is read (and, for writable attributes, written) through attribute access only.
Cluster 64 Events
Cluster 64 defines no events.
SmartphoneKey Notes
- Cluster 64 is present on SmartphoneKey devices or hubs today. See Matter Bridge Clusters — Detailed Reference and Matter Device Attributes & Commands for the values the bridge actually reports.
- Shadow paths follow
endpoint/64/attribute; attribute values that the device reports as unreadable are written asn/a. - Attribute IDs, command IDs and enum values on this page come from the CSA Matter 1.6.1 data model; descriptions are condensed from the specification text.
